To provide catalog health analysis, deterministic issue detection, and safe fix workflows, StoreClean processes the following categories of information:

A. Shopify Store Information

Shop myshopify domain and store ID
Store primary language and currency configuration
Shopify Admin OAuth access tokens (encrypted at rest)

B. Product & Catalog Data

Product titles, body HTML descriptions, handles, vendors, and product types
Variant records (SKUs, barcodes, price fields, inventory IDs)
Product imagery URLs, display order, and image ALT text attributes
Search engine optimization fields (SEO page titles, meta descriptions)

C. Usage & Operational Logs

Timestamps of catalog scans and detected issue counts
Before-and-after snapshots of applied safe fixes for audit trail and rollback capabilities
App error and performance telemetry

Data We Do NOT Collect: StoreClean does not access, process, or store customer personally identifiable information (PII), customer payment card data, checkout transactions, or order histories.

2. AI-Related Processing

When you explicitly request an AI-assisted suggestion for an SEO title, meta description, product description, or image ALT text:

Relevant product context (title, existing body excerpt, vendor) is transmitted to our AI inference infrastructure solely to generate the requested snippet.
Data is not used to train generalized foundation models without merchant authorization.
Suggestions are held in temporary memory until you choose to discard, edit, or apply the fix to Shopify.

3. How Information is Used

We use catalog and store data exclusively to:

Perform deterministic Catalog Health scoring across 6 dimensions
Display catalog gaps in your embedded Shopify Admin dashboard
Execute confirmed mutations back to your Shopify catalog via the Shopify GraphQL API
Maintain your store's Operation History ledger for undo and rollback verification
Respond to customer support inquiries and provide technical assistance

4. Third-Party Service Providers

StoreClean engages trusted infrastructure subprocessors to provide cloud hosting, database encryption, and error tracking:

StoreClean retains catalog audit cache data only as long as the application remains installed on your Shopify store.

In full compliance with Shopify App Store requirements, StoreClean subscribes to and automatically processes Shopify mandatory compliance webhooks:

customers/data_request — Returns confirmation that StoreClean holds no customer personal data.
customers/redact — Returns confirmation that StoreClean holds no customer personal records.
shop/redact — Automatically purges store credentials, cached scan findings, and history snapshots within 48 hours of receipt.

6. Security Measures

StoreClean implements industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. All data transfers between Shopify, StoreClean servers, and your browser are encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3. Access tokens and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.

7. International Data Transfers
