The Safe Fix Philosophy
StoreClean is built on the principle that merchants must always stay in control. Unlike reckless automated tools that overwrite entire catalogs blindly, StoreClean treats your catalog data with extreme precision.
The 5-Step Safe Fix Process
- Issue Review: You inspect the detected issue, the current Shopify value, and the proposed fix.
- Latest Value Re-Check: Before making any change, StoreClean fetches the current product data directly from Shopify to confirm it hasn't changed since your scan.
- Conflict Detection: If a team member edited the product in Shopify Admin after the scan started, StoreClean flags the conflict and halts the update.
- Narrow Mutation: StoreClean modifies only the specific target field (e.g. meta description), leaving all other fields untouched.
- Post-Change Verification: StoreClean reads back the updated value from Shopify to verify that the mutation succeeded.
Conflict Detection & Latest Value Re-Checks
If StoreClean detects a discrepancy between the cached scan and the live Shopify product record, you receive a clear conflict prompt:
Conflict Warning: "This product was modified in Shopify 3 minutes ago by another user. Review the latest live value before applying your fix."
Post-Change Verification
Every applied fix is stored in your History log with before-and-after snapshots, timestamp, and one-click rollback availability.
