Scan Execution & Background Processing
When you trigger a scan, StoreClean queries your Shopify product catalog using background workers. Each product is analyzed sequentially against rules covering SEO, formatting, media, variants, and metadata.
Read-Only Guarantees
A catalog scan is strictly read-only. StoreClean never alters, mutates, or modifies product titles, descriptions, tags, or variant data during a scan. Data is only modified when you explicitly review and click Apply Fix on an individual issue or batch.
Scan Times & Catalog Size
Scan times depend on your catalog size:
- Under 500 products: Typically 10–30 seconds.
- 2,500 products: Approximately 1–2 minutes.
- 25,000+ products: Processed in chunked background queues with live progress updates.
Reviewing Scan Results
After a scan finishes, you can filter issues by category, priority (High, Medium, Low), or specific product collections.
